Wolfson Centre - Range of powder handling short courses for 2014

The setting up of equipment for the characterisation of metal powders

The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, part of the School of Engineering at the University of Greenwich, UK, is running a programme of short courses throughout 2014 designed to attract engineers from industry working in the area of bulk solids handling or the flow of powders.

The Wolfson Centre has been delivering short courses for over 25 years, both at the university and in the workplace. Over this time it has developed strong links with industry, offering consultancy, research projects and short courses that combine technological excellence with personalised teaching.

Course are aimed at engineers, managers, skilled operatives, maintenance crew or anyone involved in using powders or particulates. Many of the courses now include practical sessions to help delegates consolidate the theory.

 

Short courses for 2014 include:

Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials

28-30 January or 25–27 November

 

Storage and Discharge of Powder and Bulk Solids

25–27 March

 

Undesired De-blending and Separation in Processes and Equipment

22 May

 

Dust Explosions: How to demonstrate DSEAR/ATEX Compliance

3 June

 

Overview of Particulate Handling Technology

21–23 October

 

The courses are all held at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus, Kent, UK.
