Advanced Metalworking Practices LLC’s production and distribution operations, based in Carmel, Indiana, USA, have been certified to the ISO 9001:2000 (Without Design), International Quality System Standard.

The company’s entire quality system was audited and certified by Smithers Quality Assessments Inc. (SQA), a leading accredited registrar. Smithers is fully accredited both by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA) and the American National Accreditation Body (ANAB) and is a member of the Independent Association of Accredited Registrars.

Advanced Metalworking Practices (AMP) specialises in the manufacture and supply of feedstocks under the ADVAMET® brand from a variety of different ferrous and non-ferrous materials for the metal injection moulding (MIM) industry.

Advanced Metalworking has supplied ready to use MIM feedstocks since 1988 – longer than any other supplier. Animesh Bose, General Manager of AMP, told PIM International “We are capable of producing feedstock lots that range from 25lbs to more than 1000lbs in one batch. The flexibility of AMP’s production process allows for customisation of feedstock for both chemistry as well as amount binder content. We are a global supplier of feedstock and have customers in Europe, Asia, North America and South America”.

AMP was founded by Dr. Kulkarni in 1984 and was purchased by Purity Zinc Metals, LLC (PZM) of Clarksville, TN, USA in November 2007.
