XJet updates ceramic and metal Additive Manufacturing system product line

XJet, Rehovot, Israel, will showcase an updated product line of its NanoParticle Jetting (NPJ) Additive Manufacturing systems, the Carmel 1400M and Carmel 1400C, at Formnext 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany, November 19–22, 2019. Distinct from the company’s initial Carmel 1400 system, which is capable of manufacturing both metal and ceramic parts, the Carmel 1400M is designed specifically for metal AM, while the Carmel 1400C is dedicated specifically to ceramic AM. 

While both machines use the same NPJ technology, they have reportedly been optimised to handle the different materials. At its stand, XJet will demonstrate a variety of applications illustrating the advantages of its NPJ technology for metal and ceramic AM, and new sample parts will be presented which showcase the potential to produce parts that were previously impossible to manufacture. XJet’s TCT award-winning soluble support material will also be on display.

“Formnext is always a highpoint on XJet’s calendar. Each year we hit new milestones, and this is particularly evident at Formnext,” stated Dror Danai, XJet CBO. “From Formnext, XJet will offer two systems, the Carmel 1400C devoted to ceramics and the Carmel 1400M dedicated to metals.”

“While both systems use the same NanoParticle Jetting technology, they are different and have been optimised to handle the different materials,” he explained. “Both will be demonstrated on our booth throughout the show.”

XJet’s team of industry veterans and R&D specialists is said to hold over eighty registered and pending patents. At its stand, Formnext visitors will have the opportunity to experience the science of NanoParticle Jetting through virtual reality, and speak to a number of representatives from the company’s distribution network.
