Ipsen USA expands Titan vacuum furnace assembly line

Ipsen USA is expanding the Titan assembly line at its Vacuum Technology Excellence Center in Cherry Valley, Illinois, USA, in a move expected to increase annual production capacity from thirty-six to sixty Titan vacuum furnaces.

The expansion follows a record month for the company: in May, Ipsen received orders for twenty-one Titan furnaces, attributed to investment in the aerospace and energy sectors. It forms part of the company’s wider investment programme across its facilities, products and workforce.
Introduced in 2009, the Titan furnace has become one of Ipsen’s most successful product lines, with more than 450 installed worldwide. The vacuum furnaces are designed with standardised features intended to reduce lead times and provide a cost-effective vacuum heat-treatment solution for manufacturers.

The project will convert Ipsen’s former showroom into a dedicated Titan assembly area, bringing engineering, manufacturing and assembly together in a single facility. The expansion adds approximately 650 m² (7,000 ft²) of production space, with customer orders scheduled to enter production in the new area from July 2026.
“We continue to see strong demand for the Titan product line, and we’re investing today to ensure we can support our customers tomorrow,” stated Geoffrey Somary, CEO of Ipsen.
