The Wittmann Group, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, a leader in the production of injection moulding machines, robots and peripheral equipment for the industry, has announced that it will merge its two main divisions – Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH & Co. KG, Meinerzhagen, Germany, and Wittmann Robot Systeme GmbH, Nuremberg, Germany – into a single company. The merged company will trade as Wittmann Battenfeld Deutschland GmbH and be headquartered in Nuremberg.

According to Wittmann, the merger of the two companies is intended to create a “united and coordinated presence of the Wittmann Group in the German market,” and aims to provide more efficient customer support. Klaus Ehlug, formerly Managing Director of Wittmann Battenfeld’s injection moulding facility in Meinerzhagen, has been appointed Managing Director and CEO of Wittmann Battenfeld Deutschland.

The Wittmann group operates eight production plants in five countries, along with thirty-four additional sales and service companies globally. The group consists of two main divisions: Wittmann Battenfeld and Wittman, which jointly operate the group companies.
