Sandvik Osprey appoints new Business Development Manager for the Americas

Gas atomised MIM powder producer Sandvik Osprey, based in Neath, UK, has announced that Mary Kate Johnston has joined the Company as Powders Group Business Development Manager for the Americas. This important appointment, stated the company, will support the continued growth of the metal powder business, regarded as strategically important for the Sandvik Group.

Martin Kearns, Sandvik Osprey’s Powder Group Director, told PIM International, “It has taken some time to find the right person for the role and we’re delighted that Mary Kate is joining the Sandvik Osprey team. Mary Kate’s role will complement sales and marketing activities in other regions of the world from her Scranton base and ensure that we are attuned to the needs of our customers in North and South America and continue to deliver high quality products and excellent customer service.”

Johnston already has 11 years of experience with Sandvik US in the sales and marketing of specialist metal products, primarily strip and wire products for automotive, consumer and medical markets among others. Kearns stated that her knowledge of the metals industry will be advantageous in understanding customer requirements and identifying powder metallurgical solutions.
