Raw material costs push Kanthal price increase
Swedish heating technology provider Kanthal, part of the Sandvik Group, has announced a price increase as a result of higher costs related to raw material, logistics and personnel. The increase, effective from June 7, 2021, will vary from 4% to 10% dependent on product and region.
“Rising prices on raw material and a recovery of the global economy are driving the inflationary pressures in our industry,” stated Anders Björklund, president. “We are working continuously to optimise our cost structure and make our operations more efficient, but it’s also necessary for us to adjust prices to ensure that we can maintain and improve product innovation and service expertise that are delivering value to our customers.”
