Purity Zinc Metals, LLC, (PZM) of Clarksville, TN, USA, has announced the purchase of Advanced Metalworking Practices, Inc. (AMP) of Carmel, IN, USA. Advanced Metalworking is a major supplier of feedstocks for the North American market and internationally.

Founded by Dr. Kishor M. Kulkarni in 1984, the company has produced ready-to-use feedstocks for metal injection molding (MIM) since 1988.

The sale of Advanced Metalworking includes intellectual property and manufacturing facilities. PZM will continue the production of feedstock and operate under the name of Advanced Metalworking Practices, LLC and Dr. Kulkarni will remain with the new company as the President to facilitate the transition.

Mr. Kenneth Edwards, CEO of PZM, and Dr. Kulkarni anticipate a seamless transition and expect that AMP’s customers and suppliers will continue to enjoy outstanding product quality and service.

Purity Zinc Metals LLC is a major supplier of high purity zinc powders. It is a family owned business which in recent years has aimed at acquiring or expanding into related high technology businesses in the metals industry.

In addition to its acquisition of Advanced Metalworking, it is a majority shareholder of Federal Technology Group which is developing products based on metal coated particles, lattice block structures and thermal management technologies. PZM also has an operation in the metal flakes area.
