PSM Industries, which includes the Los Angeles based metal injection moulding producer PolyAlloys and powder metal parts producer Pacific Sintered Metals, recently announced the purchase of Yillik Precision Industries on August 10, 2007.

Yillik Precision Industries, Inc. (YPI), based in Ontario, California, is a producer of tungsten carbide wear components. Craig Paullin, President of PSM Industries, stated that the acquisition was a “perfect fit with our existing high-performance wear products.

We have our line of fully-dense high-speed steels that we produce at our Pacific Sintered Metals division and our titanium-carbide metal-matrix composite materials that we produce at our Superwear Technology division. YPI will allow our customers a very wide selection of high-end wear materials for an extremely wide array of end products.”

Craig stated that with this acquisition “YPI adds an additional knowledge base to PSM in the areas of isostatic pressing, specialty vacuum sintering and extremely tight tolerance component finishing. We look forward to sharing these technologies with our worldwide customer base that now numbers over 1000 OEM’s.”
