PM Titanium 2015 conference attracts strong technical content - fittosize__780_0_a44593b2b5The organisers of PM Titanium 2015, the Third Conference on Powder Processing, Consolidation and Metallurgy of Titanium, have published the preliminary conference programme. The event, which will be held at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany, will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2015.

The conference will be co-chaired by Dr Thomas Ebel and Prof Florian Pyczak of Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany. The programme, a mix of oral and poster presentations, includes the following technical sessions:

  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Metal Injection Moulding
  • Microstructure and property optimisation
  • PM biomaterials
  • PM Ti alloys including TiAl
  • Powder production and cost reduction
  • Thermomechanical processing
  • Specific applications and techniques

Early bird registration is available until June 30, 2015. Delegates will have the opportunity to visit Fraunhofer IFAM, Bremen, Laser Zentrum Nord, Hamburg and Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht during the event.
