Ecrimesa Group, headquartered in Santander, Spain, reports that the serial production of metal injection moulded parts has begun at Mimecri USA, the group’s new MIM facility in Thomasville, Georgia, USA. The US plant is now fully equipped to produce high-quality, complex MIM components for the automotive, aerospace, defence, and medical sectors.

Ecrimesa Group was the first company to develop the process of MIM manufacturing in a continuous furnace using catalytic debinding, in collaboration with BASF and Cremer Thermoprozessanlagen GmbH. Today, with four continuous lines for debinding and sintering and two vacuum batch lines for sintering, the company has processing capacity for more than 250 tons of feedstock per year and can produce more than 1.2 million pieces every month.
