MIM2013 programme published: The International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics, and Carbides
December 13, 2012
The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has announced the publication of the conference programme for the MIM2013 International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics, and Carbides. The event will be held from March 4-6 2013 at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, USA.
MIM2013 is co-sponsored by the Metal Injection Molding Association, a trade association of MPIF, and its affiliate APMI International. The event also offers an optional one-day tutorial on powder injection molding (PIM) presented by Prof. Randall German, San Diego State University, USA.
With a focus on “advances in component uniformity” the organisers state that this specialised conference is targeted at engineers, product designers, manufacturers, consumers, researchers and students who have an interest in the application of PIM technology
The conference features more than 20 presentations from North America, Europe and Asia, as well as a tabletop exhibition and networking reception.
The PIM industry, comprised of MIM (Metal Injection Molding), CIM (Ceramic Injection Molding), and CCIM (Cemented Carbide Injection Molding), has sales estimated at over $1.5 billion and remains on a strong growth track.
The objective of the conference is to continue to explore these advances, assist in the transfer of technology, and investigate new developments in the field of powder injection molding of metals, ceramics, and carbides.
The co-chairmen for MIM2013 are Brian McBride, Parmatech Corporation, and Toby Tingskog, Sandvik Osprey Ltd.
