Lithoz to launch LithaBite for translucent orthodontic ceramic brackets

Lithoz, based in Vienna, Austria, has announced that it will launch its new LithaBite alumina, for the Additive Manufacturing of translucent orthodontic ceramic brackets, at this year’s IDS 2025 dental industry trade fair taking place in Cologne, Germany, March 25-29.
Using LithaBite with Lithoz‘s lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) technology enables the production of orthodontic brackets with material consumption less than 0.1 g per bracket. These are optimised with the unique digital surface enhancement (DSE) software, which is said to ensure a smoother surface to meet the highest aesthetic standards.

From IDS Hall 11.3, Booth B58, Lithoz will also present its new generation of zirconia. With a Weibull modulus of 20 – said to be one of the highest achieved values in additively manufactured ceramics – while still maintaining the material’s mechanical structure, the zirconia is suited for use in large-scale serial production of innovative dental applications.
Lithoz will also be showcasing its latest work in additively manufactured lithium disilicate (LS2) restorations, demonstrating advancements in dental materials and digital manufacturing.
Visitors can explore dental components additively manufactured with the new zirconia generation, including dental implants with inner threads produced without additional mechanical post-processing, in a touch-and-feel experience at the booth.
