The dates are approaching for the third Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing tutorial and workshop organised by Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM). The event takes place September 13-15 at Fraunhofer IFAM in Bremen, Germany.

This year’s workshop program is dedicated to process development and upscaling of metal Binder Jetting, presentation of new sinter-based AM technologies such as gel casting, mouldjet and lithography-based metal AM, as well as material development in sinter-based AM.

The final programme has been released and includes:

September 13 (Tutorial)

  • The Fundamentals (Powder characteristics/BInders and debinding/Sintering)
  • Processes (Feedstock printing/Binder Jetting/Other sinter-based approaches)
  • Interactive sessions

September 14 (Workshop)

  • General sinter-based AM
  • Scale Up
  • Material development in sinter-based AM

September 15 (Workshop)

  • Binder Jetting process development
  • Enabling technologies
  • Other sinter-based AM processes
  • Panel discussion

International speakers from industry and research such as Mikael Schuisky, Sandvik Additive Manufacturing, and Radoslav Behul, PRINTY, will provide insights into the latest developments as well as the industrial implementation of the respective technologies.
