Fraunhofer IFAM, Dresden, Germany, has released its programme for its Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing workshop, taking place from October 8-9, 2025, in Bremen, Germany. For the sixth time, this event will present and discuss the challenges and opportunities for serial production with Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing technologies along the value chain.

International speakers from industry and R&D will provide insight into the latest advancements and industrial implementation of these technologies. The workshop programme will be supplemented by a pinboard-assisted general discussion, a tabletop exhibition and a Component Award competition.

Sinter-based Additive Manufacturing methods, such as Metal Binder Jetting or Lithography-based Metal AM, are currently considered the most promising route towards modern industrial series production. One of the main benefits of sinter-based AM is the ability to utilise a wide range of materials, including metals and ceramics; any sinterable powder material could potentially be used in this process.

The event programme is as follows:

Day 1 – October 8, 2025:

  • 15 – 12.00 Binder Jetting Use Cases
    • Welcome and Introduction Sebastian Hein, Fraunhofer IFAM
    • Early-stage development of nickel-based alloys for aerospace applications via Metal Binder Jetting Dominique Zänker, RollsRoyce Deutschland Ltd & Co.KG
