HP Inc., Palo Alto, California, USA, has announced that François Minec will be joining the company’s Personalization & 3D Printing (P3D) business as its Global Head of Strategy.

Minec has served as the Global Managing Director of BASF 3D Printing Solutions GmbH for the past three years. Under his direction, BASF expanded its commitment to Additive Manufacturing solutions and launched the Forward AM brand. HP has worked closely with Forward AM to help develop compelling production applications with customers around the world.

“We are committed to helping our customers grow their businesses and scale AM production,” stated Didier Deltort, President of P3D. “François’ industry expertise, entrepreneurship, and success spearheading innovative materials and applications will be a valuable addition to our business.”

Minec holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, MSc. in Polymer Science from IFP School and Executive MBA at ESCP Europe. He has more than twenty years’ experience in business development of specialty chemicals and plastics, with ten years as CEO of VELOX, a European distribution company for specialty plastics and chemicals, servicing markets like automotive, electronics, packaging and healthcare.

“I’m delighted to join Didier’s team and work closely with what I consider to be the industry’s leading 3D printing business,” said Minec. “I’ve had a chance to see the power of HP’s 3D printing platforms through the collaboration we’ve enjoyed during my time at BASF. I believe HP is in the best position to accelerate the AM industry to industrial production.”
