Euro PM2017: Special Interest Seminar to focus on MIM for aerospace applications
September 4, 2017
A Special Interest Seminar at the Euro PM2017 Congress and Exhibition, Milan, Italy, 1-5 October, will focus on MIM for aerospace applications. Chaired by Prof Dr -Ing Frank Petzoldt (Fraunhofer IFAM, Germany) and Keith Murray (Sandvik Osprey Ltd, United Kingdom), the seminar will approach the special demands of the aerospace industry on MIM technology from a fresh angle, highlighting the viewpoints of a MIM part producer and two leading European aircraft engine manufacturers. Challenges such as new high-temperature materials and low volume production will be addressed.
The seminar will also give an outlook on what is required from the end-users’ point of view to increase the portfolio of parts that can be produced for aerospace applications in the future. There will be time for discussion among the audience and with the speakers.
Confirmed presentations at the time of publication are:
