The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) is producing a new guide to EU Legislation and Environmental Health and Safety in the European PM Industry, 2009 edition (EHS). The original EHS Guide was first published by the EPMA in 1991. This new edition, the seventh in the series, has been prepared by PM specialists, especially for the EPMA and is considered to be a total revision from the previous edition.

EPMA to publish new guide to EU Legislation-European PM Industry - 000721The new 2009 EPMA EHS guide takes into account the many changes that have occurred over the last 5 years, since the last edition was published, with an essential new section on REACH, as well as new sections on Globally Harmonised Systems, Nano-materials and Eco-efficiency. There are also numerous updates on legislation affecting PM manufacturers, managers and technologists.

‘The newly revised 2009 EPMA EHS guide provides an excellent reference for industry managers and health and safety specialists who require a large volume of study material in order to comply with European and national legislation’ explained Andrew Almond, EPMA’s Marketing Manager.

He added ‘The EPMA has produced the new EHS Guide to be of benefit to busy managers, as the new edition offers convenient summaries for quick references, as time is critical in a busy environment.’

The 2009 EPMA EHS Guide will also provide in-depth information for the more specialist managers, with completely updated Chapters from the previous edition.

The 2009 EPMA EHS Guide contains a comprehensive series of annexes including an index, glossary of terms used in European legislation, a list of useful websites plus Hazard Risk and Safety Phrases.

An April publication date is set for the new 2009 EPMA EHS Guide with a special pre-order price of EUR 130 Euros for EPMA Members and EUR 250 for non-EPMA Members, saving EUR 40 off the regular sale price.
