The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has confirmed dates for the Euro PM2020 Congress & Exhibition, which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from October 4–7, at the Lisbon Congress Centre (LCC).

The annual four-day event represents the entire PM supply chain and, in addition to an extensive conference programme, features an exhibition area representing all Powder Metallurgy related industrial sectors, including raw material suppliers, furnace equipment manufacturers and tooling producers.

Euro PM2020 will feature over 250 oral and poster papers, and cover all the following aspects of Powder Metallurgy:

  • Press & sinter
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Powder Injection Moulding
  • Functional materials
  • Hard materials and diamond tools
  • Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)
  • New materials, processes and applications

Lionel Aboussouan, EPMA Executive Director, commented, “EPMA are looking forward to starting the next powder metal decade in Lisbon, a first for a Euro PM event, by continuing the success of the recent Euro PM events in Milan, Bilbao and Maastricht. Within the programme there will be several Special Interest Seminars covering all the main strands of the Powder Metallurgy industry, EPMA Working and Sectoral Group meetings and workshops on key topics of relevance to the industry.”

“The EPMA Component Awards make a return to the event programme to help generate interest and stimulate the PM sector, showcasing the variety of components that can be manufactured using the powder metal process,” Aboussouan continued. “Annual powder metal statistics will be presented during the plenary session, which will provide good insight into the PM sector.”

Further information is available via the event website.
