000430Engel Austria GmbH launched its newly developed, compact, fully electric E-Motion Focus 100 injection moulding machine earlier this year at Chinaplas in Guangzhou, China.

The major features of the new model series, which will be available by the end of 2007, in three sizes of up to 1,800 kN, include: a new tie-bar clamping unit with generously dimensioned mould mounting space, a new extremely powerful injection unit, and the compact footprint of the machine itself.

In addition the company claims that the E-Motion Focus also has the benefit of generous mould mounting space and tie-bar clearance, high injection speeds, high pressures, clean, lubricant-free tie-bars, and state-of-the-art European safety standards.

The machine on show at Chinaplas was an ENGEL E-MOTION 200/100 Focus (clamping force 1,000 kN) manufacturing a precision case part.
