Combined advanced technologies show reports record visitors

The co-located Advanced Materials Show, Advanced Ceramics Show, Battery Cells & Systems Expo and Vehicle Electrification Expo, recently took place at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, attracting over 3,800 visitors. As well as a record number of visitors, the two-day event also included over 100 speakers from organisations such as Rolls Royce and the Costain Group.

Attendees were reported to included representatives from BAE Systems, DSTL, Jaguar Land Rover, Volta Trucks, Lotus, MBDA, Parker Meggitt, Petronas and Safran. PIM International supported the event as a partner, with free copies of the magazine available on-site.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for four different communities to come together and the co-location of the Battery Cells and Systems Expo with Vehicle Electrification Expo, alongside the advanced materials show and the ceramics show,” stated Claire Spooner, Deputy Challenge Director, Faraday Battery Challenge, UKRI. “It just means all of these ideas can coalesce together, and we’re going to meet so many different people; it creates a really vibrant atmosphere. It’s those opportunities and those ideas to meet people – it’s just amazing.”
