Call for papers issued for PowderMet2021

July 13, 2020

The programme committee for the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials (PowderMet2021), scheduled to take place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, in Orlando, Florida, USA, from June 20–23, 2021, has issued a call for papers and posters.

The four-day event is co-located with the conference Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy (AMPM2021) and sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the North American trade association representing the Powder Metallurgy industry, and its affiliate APMI International.

The technical programme co-chairmen for 2021 are Gregory (Jerry) Falleur, AAM—Metal Forming, and Roland T Warzel, III, North American Höganӓs Co. Abstracts are invited covering any aspect of PM and particulate materials technology, including:

  • Design & modelling of PM materials, components & processes
  • Particulate production
  • General compaction & forming processes
  • Powder Injection Moulding (metals & ceramics)
  • Pre-sintering & sintering
  • Secondary operations
  • Materials
  • Refractory metals, carbides & ceramics
  • Advanced particulate materials & processes
  • Material properties
  • Test & evaluation
  • Applications
  • And management issues.

All topics related to metal Additive Manufacturing should be submitted to the co-located

conference Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy (AMPM2021), for which a call for papers has also been issued.

“The annual PowderMet conference reunites the robust Powder Metallurgy industry,” stated James P Adams, Executive Director/CEO, Metal Powder Industries Federation. “It includes the largest North American exhibit to showcase leading suppliers of PM, particulate materials, and metal Additive Manufacturing. Additionally, strategic networking opportunities bring delegates face-to-face, to finally catch up on the latest research and development, celebrate industry achievements, and more.”

The abstract submissions deadline is November 13, 2020. Further information and registration details are available via the event website.

AMPM2021 call for papers

The AMPM conference has grown significantly since its debut in 2014 as the only conference focused entirely on metal Additive Manufacturing. The technical programme co-chairmen for 2021 are Stuart Jackson, Renishaw, Inc., and Sunder Atre, University of Louisville.

Abstract submissions are invited on all aspects of metal AM, including:

  • Modelling of materials, components & processes
  • Design of components
  • Particulate production
  • Build processes
  • Sintering
  • Post-build operations
  • Materials
  • Materials properties
  • Testing & evaluation
  • Applications
  • And management issues.

The abstract submissions deadline for AMPM is November 13, 2020. Further information and registration details are available via the event website.
