Biomerics names Arun Mohan as its new CEO

Biomerics, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, a vertically integrated contract manufacturer for the interventional medical device market, has announced the appointment of Arun Mohan as its new Chief Executive Officer.

“This is a defining moment in Biomerics’ thirty-year journey,” stated founder and former CEO Travis Session. “Our success has always been rooted in innovation, manufacturing excellence and a relentless focus on serving our customers. Arun has the leadership, vision and proven track record to take Biomerics to the next level. With the full support of the board, I am confident that under his leadership, we will continue to deliver transformative solutions for patients while expanding our global footprint. I look forward to working alongside him as chairman.”

As CEO, Mohan will be responsible for the company’s global business operations, financial performance and strategic growth initiatives. He previously served as president of Biomerics’ Micro Metals Division, where he is credited with having built a high-performing team that delivered results in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and scalable growth. His leadership philosophy is said to centre on customer centricity, employee empowerment and innovation-driven execution. He will also serve on the Biomerics Board of Directors.

Travis Sessions founded Biomerics in 1994 and will transition to the role of board chairman. During Sessions’s time as CEO, Biomerics grew from a single-site startup to a partner with over 3,000 employees across twelve locations in the United States, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.

Biomerics opened a new Metal Injection Molding facility and Centre of Excellence in 2024.
