Baumann is said to be an ideal choice for the position, possessing several years of management, sales and project experience gained from various companies in the United States.

Having completed his academic qualifications at the Aalen University of Applied Sciences – Engineering and Economics – in 1991, Baumann achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Technology, followed by an MBA in International Marketing at the Export Academy in Reutlingen in 1993.

More recently, Baumann worked for almost four years as Vice President and General Manager at MAAG Group Americas in Eagle Rock, Virginia, a manufacturer of gear pumps, granulation and filtration systems, and powder mills.

He describes himself as a “business and general manager with a focus on developing and implementing growth strategies for complex industrial products in the B2B environment.”

Arburg stated that Baumann will undergo a familiarisation programme in the US, in close cooperation with the headquarters in Lossburg, to prepare him for his new role.
