Arburg GmbH + Co KG, Lossburg, Germany, has cancelled the 2020 edition of its annual Arburg Technology Days as a preventative measure against the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). The event was set to take place from March 11–14, and welcomes around 6,000 international invitees annually.

A statement released by the company stated, “Arburg takes the developments regarding the Coronavirus (Covid-19) very seriously. The responsible parties at the company have followed the situation over the past few days with great concern and analysed it intensively. This is because the health of customers partners and employees has the highest priority at Arburg.”

It was noted that the cancellation is purely preventative, and that there were no known suspected cases in the direct vicinity of Arburg. As a result, the opening of the company’s Training Center on March 6, 2020, attended by invited guests from the region, will go ahead as planned.
