Arburg, Lossburg, Germany, has opened a new Arburg Technology Center (ATC) in Inzersdorf, Kremstal, Austria. The centre will be run by group subsidiary Arburg Austria, established in 2010.

In a speech during the opening event, Renate Keinath, Arburg Managing Partner, stated, “the opening of the new ATC is an important milestone for our presence in Austria and underlines the importance of this highly demanding market for us.”

Since the establishment of Arburg Austria, she stated that the company has systematically developed and expanded its activities in line with its ‘Wir sind da.’ brand promise. She added that this was proven “on a daily basis” by the team in Austria, stating, “over the past few years, we have strengthened our sales and service team here in Austria, successfully implementing numerous projects.

Managing Director Sales, Gerhard Böhm, added, “We are very proud that our customer base has grown continuously since the establishment of the subsidiary.” He stated that the entire Arburg portfolio is in high demand across all industries, and increasingly for automation solutions and turn-key projects, which Arburg offers as a primary contractor.

“With 300 m2 of floor space, we have significantly more room for machines, spare parts, practical tests and intensive training,” commented Eberhard Lutz, Managing Director Arburg Austria. “This will make it possible to extend activities in the areas of technical consulting, spare parts logistics and training.”

Central to the new technology centre is the showroom, which allows enough space for the installation of up to five of the company’s Allrounder injection moulding machines. This gives customers visiting the centre the opportunity to view Arburg’s machine technology in operation and, in some cases, to test their own moulds. The showroom also offers visitors the opportunity to gain practical training in Arburg’s technology.
