The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has opened applications for the EPMA Sustainability Award 2025, which looks to honour the most impactful sustainability initiatives in the field of Powder Metallurgy (PM).

With this award, the EPMA recognises companies, research institutes, and individuals who are actively working to reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, implement circular economy principles, and drive innovation for a greener future within the PM sector.

The award is open to all EPMA members, including industrial companies, academic institutions, and R&D centres, that can demonstrate tangible results in sustainability related to Powder Metallurgy.

The EPMA Sustainability Award was initiated in 2023 to foster the adoption of a sustainability-oriented approach in the European PM community. The competition has a new edition every year and is based on an online questionnaire. Each entry is evaluated against established criteria, with individual scores contributing to a total and final ranking. Additional points are given to small companies and by submitting “good sustainability stories”.

The winning company (or companies) will be awarded during a ceremony during the Euro PM2025 Congress and Exhibition, scheduled to take place September 14-17 in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

The application deadline is June 30, 2025. Those interested can apply, here.
