The 10th edition of the AM Ceramics conference, hosted by TU Wien, will take place October 21-22, 2025, under the theme ‘Ceramic Additive Manufacturing at the Forefront of Industry Innovation’.

Lithoz is once again supporting AM Ceramics in bringing together world-leading experts from a variety of fields to discuss ceramic Additive Manufacturing and the opportunities it presents in sectors such as aerospace, medical, dental and semiconductor industries, as well as research.

The 2025 speaker lineup will address pressing questions, such as:

  • How can ceramic AM match the reliability and scalability of metal-based AM systems?
  • What role will material properties, thermal management and post-processing play in the performance of next-generation parts?
  • How do international standards evolve to support the rapid rise of ceramic AM?

Attendees will also hear how fundamental research converts into serial production, gain an understanding of the certification process and learn how comparisons with metal and polymer Additive Manufacturing can inform ceramic AM.

Conference presentations

Christophe Brisset of Safran Tech will explore the transformative role of ceramic Additive Manufacturing in the aerospace sector. In his talk ‘Bridging Investment Casting and Additive Manufacturing: A New Core,’ he will present how ceramic components produced via AM meet demanding performance metrics and can be integrated into existing industrial workflows.

From Fraunhofer IKTS, Uwe Scheithauer will deliver the talk ‘From Potential to Practice: Advancing Ceramic AM Toward Serial Production.’ Scheithauer focuses on the practical pathways for scaling up ceramic AM through optimised powder technology and process control, helping bridge the gap between prototyping and production.

In the joint presentation titled ‘R&D on 3D-printed ceramic devices for thermal management of particle detectors,’ Dr Massimo Agelletti and Paolo Petagna from CERN demonstrate how Additive Manufacturing is enabling entirely new component geometries, which are crucial for overcoming thermal challenges in next-generation detector systems where precision, reliability and thermal stability are critical.

Representing ASTM International, Alberto Bordin’s presentation drives efforts to align ceramic AM technologies with robust qualification frameworks, highlighting how international standards can accelerate the adoption of ceramic Additive Manufacturing by ensuring reproducibility and reliability across applications and industries.

Tours and demonstrations

AM Ceramics 2025 will also offer attendees direct access to the Lithoz Innovation Lab, with tours of its facility showcasing its AM machines, materials portfolio and applications, as well as multi-material Additive Manufacturing and design.

A hands-on medical workshop, hosted by KLS Martin, will enable attendees to explore real-world applications through interactive demonstrations. With a focus on technological innovation and industrial readiness, AM Ceramics 2025 aims to position itself as a vital platform for anyone involved in the research and development, production or strategic planning of sinter-based Additive Manufacturing.
