Aconity3D welcomes global AM community to AconityWEEK 2026

From May 19–21, 2026, Aconity3D’s headquarters in Herzogenrath, Germany, hosted AconityWEEK, bringing together users, partners, researchers and decision-makers from the global metal Additive Manufacturing community. The three-day event combined technology demonstrations, technical presentations and networking opportunities.

The event opened with the AconityXPERIENCE Open House, during which visitors toured the company’s facilities and viewed a range of metal Additive Manufacturing technologies and applications.

A partner exhibition featured solutions from companies across the AM value chain, including Midel Photonics, Amazemet, Optoprim, Infratec, Aerosint, Equispheres, Autodesk, PRIMES, IPG Photonics, amsight and Materialise.

Technology demonstrations included:

  • AconityWIRE – wire-based Laser Metal Deposition (w-LMD)
  • On-demand manufacturing – production strategies aimed at reducing physical inventory through demand-driven manufacturing. Aconity3D also demonstrated its Business Case Configurator, an online tool designed to identify suitable machine configurations based on user-defined production requirements
  • Multi-material and refractory metal processing – examples included copper-steel combinations and components produced from tungsten and tantalum
  • Application centre – an overview of the company’s job-shop operations, including part development, qualification and production activities
  • AconityACADEMY – training and educational resources available to customers and partners
  • AconitySHOP – the company’s online platform for consumables and accessories

2nd Aconity3D USER Conference

The 2nd Aconity3D USER Conference took place on May 20–21 as part of AconityWEEK. According to the company, eighty-two participants from eighteen countries attended the event, representing organisations from both industry and academia.

The company stated that attendance increased compared with the inaugural USER Conference in 2024, which attracted sixty-eight participants from forty companies across sixteen countries.

Technical discussions focused on developments, challenges and opportunities in Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB).
