AP&C installs two new atomisation reactors

Arcam AB has announced that its metal powder subsidiary AP&C, based in Montreal, Canada, is building its fourth and fifth reactors, adding significant capacity to its titanium and nickel super-alloy powder manufacturing operation.
AP&C uses proprietary plasma atomisation technology to produce highly spherical powders of reactive and high melting point materials such as titanium, nickel, zirconium, molybdenum, niobium, tantalum, tungsten and their alloys. Its powders are suited to a range of processes such as Additive Manufacturing, Metal Injection Moulding, Hot Isostatic Pressing and coating applications.
