Still time to register for the MPIF’s Basic Powder Metallurgy Short Course

The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF)’s Basic Powder Metallurgy Short Course, now in its 62nd year, is scheduled to take place August 10-12, 2026, at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center, State College, Pennsylvania, USA.

The course offers a complete introduction to Powder Metallurgy, from powder production to component design and standards. As well as press and sinter PM, processes covered on the course include Metal Injection Molding and metal Additive Manufacturing.
The three-day course will include:
- Latest PM technologies, including metal Additive Manufacturing, PM history, current practices, and future trends
- Advantages and applications of PM for metal parts
- Key design principles for PM metal powder production methods and MPIF standards
- Compacting tool designs and basic principles
