20^th Plansee Seminar postponed until 2022

Plansee Group, headquartered in Reutte, Austria, has postponed its 20^th Plansee Seminar, the International Conference on Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, until 2022 due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19). The seminar was originally scheduled to take place at the group’s Reutte headquarters from June 7–11, 2021.

In a statement, Karlheinz Wex, Chairman of the Plansee Seminar, wrote, “We, the Chairman of the Plansee Seminar and the whole Scientific Committee, have now decided to postpone the 20^th Plansee Seminar by one year to 2022.”

“We hope that by then we will be able to hold the conference, which is characterised by a high level of free and direct social exchange and communication, as you have been accustomed to. We believe that you comprehend our decision and we hope to heartedly welcome you to the 20^th Plansee Seminar in Reutte in 2022.”
