2010 PM World Congress to be held in Florence

July 29, 2008

The 2010 World Powder Metallurgy Congress and Exhibition was officially launched at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC, 10th June, with over 100 prominent figures from the world powder metallurgy (PM) and metal injection moulding (MIM) communities in attendance.

The President of the European Powder Metallurgy Association, Ingo Cremer, and Prof. Alberto Molinari, Co-Chairman of the World PM2010 Steering Committee, made introductory presentations for the event, which will take place at the Fortesso de Basso Congress Centre, Florence, Italy.

Jonathan Wroe, EPMA’s Executive Director, stated “We are now looking forward to building on the success of the Washington event in the culturally rich city of Florence, Italy. Florence is a city associated with both the history and the future of Europe’s science, industry and culture.

Its easy accessibility, modern business facilities, excellent hotels and historic architecture will make it a great centre for this, the largest gathering of the PM community in PM2010.”

The World PM2010 Congress and Exhibition will take place from 10th to 14th October 2010 and will cover the full range of PM topics and also provide a world class exhibition, which will run parallel to the technical sessions.

A first announcement for PM2010 will be circulated later in the month, containing further details of the technical programme, conference centre location, social activities and exhibition information.

Further information on the PM2010 World Congress and Exhibition will be available on the EPMA’s website www.epma.com/pm2010
