Incus GmbH partners with Micro MIM Japan Holdings to streamline MIM production

Incus GmbH, Vienna, Austria, reports that it has entered into a partnership with Micro MIM Japan Holdings Inc/Taisei Kogyo Co., Ltd., headquartered in Neyagawa, Osaka, Japan, and will provide a Hammer Lab35 metal Additive Manufacturing machine, based on Vat Photopolymerisation (VPP) technology, to help the company produce functional prototypes prior to Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) production and offer smaller quantities of parts.

The company explains that the good mechanical properties and exceptional surface aesthetics of lithography-based metal additively manufactured parts are the key factors driving the adoption of AM in the MIM community. The Incus metal AM machine is scheduled to arrive in Japan by the end of June 2021.

Established in 2019 by Dr Gerald Mitteramskogler, now CEO, Incus provides innovative solutions for the Additive Manufacturing of high-performance metals. Micro MIM Japan Holdings Inc is a MIM parts manufacturer specialising in the mass production of small metal parts up to 30 mm in all dimensions.
