April 28, 2017
Arcam AB has announced the launch of a new branding identity for the Arcam Group. The new identity will unite Arcam EBM, AP&C and DiSanto Technology Inc (DTI) with a common mark while at the same time endorsing their operations as a part of GE Additive.
“Arcam and the industry have evolved considerably since our original brand more than 20 years ago,” stated Magnus René, CEO of Arcam. “Bringing together our offerings in industrial Additive Manufacturing systems through Arcam EBM, metal powders through AP&C and contract manufacturing through DTI under one common brand structure will make it easier for us to efficiently address the market. With the endorsement from GE Additive, we can communicate the power behind our new brand and the solutions we can provide customers.”
Arcam EBM, located in Mölndal, Sweden, provides Additive Manufacturing systems for production of metal components. Its Electron Beam Melting (EBM) technology offers the design freedom of Additive Manufacturing combined with excellent material properties and high productivity.
AP&C based in Montreal, Canada, uses proprietary plasma atomisation technology to produce fine metal powders from titanium and other reactive or high melting point alloys such as nickel superalloys and niobium. Its powders are used in Additive Manufacturing as well as Metal Injection Moulding, Hot Isostatic Pressing and coating technologies.
DiSanto Technology Inc, Shelton, Connecticut, USA, provides its customers with engineering, development and production of both metal and plastic medical implants, components and instruments.
