ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH has announced that its Metallurgy & More Conference will take place September 18-22, 2023, at its facility in Hanau, Germany. The conference is set to focus on operational aspects, new developments and improvements of premium melting, re-melting, casting, atomisation techniques, Additive Manufacturing and industrial digital solutions. It will also discuss new technologies and solutions in response to global trends.

The conference will include two days of presentations discussing the latest trends and developments, with a third day set aside for a detailed company tour highlighting the ALD business units and ALD’s technical centre with in-house Electron Beam Melting facility and other equipment. The final day includes options for two excursions.

The preliminary programme for the event is as follows:

  • Monday, 18 September 2023: Arrival & welcome reception
  • Tuesday, 19 September 2023: Technical Conference with a company tour
  • Wednesday, 20 September 2023: Technical Conference
  • Thursday, 21 September 2023: Excursion to German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Institute of Materials Research, Cologne, or AMG Titanium Alloys & Coatings GfE, Gesellschaft für Elektrometallurgie mbH, Nuremberg
