Atomisation for Metal Powders short course set for September 2023

Following the success of last year’s course, Atomising Systems Ltd (ASL), Sheffield, North Yorkshire, has announced the return of its two-day intensive course on Atomisation for Metal Powders. Set to take place in Manchester, UK, September 28-29, this year’s event will mark the15th edition of ASL’s popular course.

John Dunkley, Chairman of ASL, Dirk Aderhold, Technical Director at ASL, and Tom Williamson, Research and Development (R&D) Manager at ASL, will combine up-to-date practical information with atomising theory.

Aimed at engineers working in both metal powder production and R&D, the course content includes:

  • the main methods of atomising metals
  • specific requirements for different metals
  • the design, operation and economics of atomising plant
  • manufacturing and characterising metal powder

Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss their interests with the course presenters, with revisions this year said to reflect the growing interest in Additive Manufacturing and other advanced manufacturing, as well as special alloy powders.
