Ceramics Expo 2019 will take place next week at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, from April 30–May 1, 2019. This is the fifth edition in the event series which is organised by Smarter Shows, Brighton, UK, and will welcome over 3,000 executives, engineers, technical leaders, and industry peers for two days of innovation, networking and knowledge sharing.

The exhibition will host the complete supply chain including raw material suppliers, testing equipment, and ceramic manufacturers, including CoorsTek, Corning, Morgan Advanced Materials, Kyocera, Schott and Saint-Gobain as well as the attendance of 3M, Creatz3D, GE Global Research, Kennametal, Harris Corp and Sasol. The Product Showcase is expected to feature live demonstrations of new machinery, testing services and analysis equipment from exhibitors including 3DCeram Sinto, Beckman Coulter, OptiPro Systems and The Model Shop.

Held concurrently with the exhibition, the Ceramics Expo Conference will present sessions exploring future trends, manufacturing practices and developments from the ceramic and glass industry. The agenda has reportedly been designed for engineers and decision makers in the automotive, aerospace/defence, medical, electronics, industrial, energy, and communication industries. Companies who will be speaking at the conference include Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Company, NASA, General Electric Aviation and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

There will also be opportunities to create business connections at the evening networking reception, sponsored by GeoCorp, Inc., and the B2B Matchmaking area, which is a new addition for 2019. Through using an online portal, attendees will be able to pre-book meetings with exhibitors and other attendees, which can then take place in the B2B Matchmaking area.

Danny Scott, Event Director of Ceramics Expo, stated, “The overwhelmingly positive reaction to this year’s expo, now taking place over two action-packed days, is testament to the global reputation that has been garnered by Ceramics Expo over the last five years. By the time we open the doors on 30 April we expect an exhibit area featuring around 300 companies from over 25 countries. Covering ceramic science, the materials and manufacturing technologies, and the finished components, is what we’re all about and it’s a pretty unique offering.”

Registration for Ceramics Expo 2019 is still open. Further information on the exhibition and conference programme is available via the event website.

If you’re attending the expo, don’t forget to pick up a copy of PIM International magazine from the expo’s media area.
