Indo-US MIM Tec. Pvt. Ltd. (Indo-MIM), a leading global supplier of precision engineered products using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology, states that it successfully organised a MIM technical seminar in Detroit, Michigan, USA, on September 30 2014.

The event was organised with the intention of reaching MIM users and disseminating details of the process along with information on new advanced applications. The technology, which Indo-MIM states is still not widely understood by many engineering professionals, was reviewed through presentations and discussions. The objective, stated Indo-MIM, was to share best practices and case studies in addition to the MIM process considerations such as control parameters and design guidelines.

Jag Holla, VP-Marketing, led the event with detailed discussions on MIM materials, applications and tooling concepts. Param Gutti, Sales Manager, then reviewed plant capabilities and MIM process design guidelines in addition to process cost drivers.

Jeffery Donovan, Business Development Manager specific to the automotive market, discussed potential applications with the attendees along with the details of success stories from the automotive market.

Holla told PIM International, “This technical expo helped us to reach many more potential MIM customers at the same time. Our capabilities in terms of technology, along with details of our fully integrated infrastructure, convinced many at the expo to seriously consider the MIM process for their future programs as well as for current production. The adoption of MIM for these parts could result in significant cost reductions. We will be conducting many more expo events in the next twelve months that will help Indo-MIM connect with more potential users in the US market.”

The next scheduled Indo-MIM technical event will take place in Charlotte, NC, USA, on November 19 2014. For more information email: [email protected]
